Microsoft Data Fundamentals
This course identifies and describes core data concepts and how this technology is implemented through cloud data solutions with Microsoft Azure. Successful completion of the course and final exam will earn candidates the official Microsoft Certification DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals.

What will I do?
You will demonstrate knowledge of core data concepts and related Microsoft Azure data services. Topics include ways to represent data, relational concepts, capabilities of Azure storage, data warehouses and roles and responsibilities for data workloads.
Course materials are studied remotely and at your own pace through the Microsoft Learn portal. Materials are a mixture of videos, reading and labs. Unlimited practice exams are included, and you will sit the final exam remotely whilst being supervised by a member of staff. This is a globally recognised and industry-endorsed Microsoft Certification.

Are there any entry requirements?
This course is targeted to candidates beginning to work with data in the cloud. Candidates should be familiar with the concepts of relational and non-relational data, and different types of data workloads such as transactional or analytical.
Course highlights
We work with Microsoft to deliver these qualifications and cover the following areas:
- Show foundational knowledge of cloud data services
- Explain concepts of relational and non-relational data
- Identify components of a modern data warehouse
- Explore provisioning and deploying relational database services
How much will I have to study each week?
A minimum of 5-6 study hours per week will be required to complete the course within 6 weeks.
Individual students working in the IT industry may have enhanced subject knowledge and we can arrange for their exam to take place within 2-3 weeks.
How will my progress be monitored?
You will be allocated to a specialist Digital Coach to review progress.
You will complete the modular Learning Paths to assess your performance.
You will attempt the Pre-Assessment activity online via MeasureUp (Microsoft’s official practice test website) to ensure you are ready to take the final exam.
All assessments will take place online with the final exam being monitored by a member of staff.
